I heart this pic!
Just a couple of steps the opposite way and I would have missed seeing this amazing reflection of the sunrise in our warehouse windows! I took this with my cell so I can only imagine how awesome it would have been if I had my actual camera...better yet I wish I had Brittani's powerhouse camera!!
It almost looks like there's a fire inside...

...it's been awhile
Wow...I can't believe it's been almost 8 months since I've posted anything [not that I've lacked in having anything to write about]...I just pretty much let the craziness of "my life" take over!
Looking back at some of my older posts made me laugh at my quirky randomness, tear up when I see how fast my family is growing older and it's made me realize that the areas in my life that I've left unattended, need attention...
So here's to a fresh start :D

Day 3
Well I'm into Day 3 of my 2 WEEKS of Sacrifice...
Day 1 went great and I only came close to drinking milk once. I reached in and grabbed the gallon and before I closed to the door I saw my blue bracelet [which I specifically started wearing for this very reason] so I quickly put it back in and grabbed the ice water :]
Day 2 was not so good...I woke up tired which sounds like an oxymoron and was draggin like none other. By the time I got to work I started getting a headache. The rest of the day it felt like my eyelids were literally gonna slam shut and I don't know how many times I tripped because I felt like I was wearing cement shoes :/
A CAFFEINE I.V. IS WHAT I NEEDED!!
But I kept drinking my water...
Hmm...I wondered if they made caffeniated water and sure enough they do!
Propel contains 20mg of caffeine
WHOA! this 16.9 oz bottle contains 200mg of caffeine!!
The "lite" version is only 100mg
Then when I got home the milk cravings started...seriously milk is my greatest weakness. I even joked about it on Facebook wondering if they made a white food coloring that I could add to my water to pretend that it's skim milk ;D
All kidding aside the worse I felt the more I thought about why I'm making this sacrifice...when I want a cold glass of water it's simple I just walk a few steps to the fridge and get it without giving it a second thought. When the people of Africa want a cup of water...they have to walk several miles to submerge their buckets or plastic containers into green cesspools...this is just not right!!!
Again it only takes $1 dollar to provide clean drinking water for 1 person for an entire year!!

BLOOD:Water Mission
In 2001 Jars of Clays founded blood:water mission which has funded 650 water projects along with hygiene and sanitation training in 11 African countries. These projects have impacted more than 500,000 people with clean water since it's inception and the band is on track to build it's 1000th clean water well in early 2010.To help with this project starting tomorrow I'll be joining Corey Mann for 2 WEEKS of Sacrifice to help raise money for the 1000 Well Project You're asked to take the money you would normally spend on coffee, pop, tea or whatever you drink besides H2O and donate it to this mission.
This has really opened my eyes as to how much I truly take for granted!!Seriously...just think about what they have to go through in order to get a bucket of water back to their families...then look closer at what that cup of water actually looks like...can you even imagine what it smells like let alone what it tastes like?!?
Since I'm not a pop or tea drinker...My 2 WEEKS of Sacrifice will only be difficult when I have a milk or coffee craving which then made me wonder if I would really feel the impact of sacrifice for this mission. So I've decided to turn my 2 WEEKS of Sacrifice into 12 MONTHS and will donate 10% of my earnings from my lia sophia business to the BLOOD:Water Mission!
REMEMBER IT ONLY TAKES $1 DOLLAR TO PROVIDE WATER FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR FOR 1 PERSON!!
Are you willing to sacrifice 1 Starbucks so that 4 people can have clean water for a year?
