Desert Lynx Charcoal Bronze Leopard Female...

Ok...I've been saying that I think Kayli isn't just a Tabby and that she might have some Persian in her due to a couple of strategically placed very distinct markings. I started researching the other night and found where she does resemble the short haired Persian Tabby but the breed characteristics didn't completely describe her. Then I "googled" upon this ad for the Desert Lynx and not only does she look like this kitten but the breed description is Kayli to a T!!

GORGEOUS FEMALE DESERT LYNX KITTEN 9 WEEKS OLD.

This Charcoal Bronze Leopard Female is so loveable and friendly. She is very personal, well socialized adores dogs and people. The breed has a very doglike personality. They are quick to bond to their families and love to sleep with you on your bed or under your covers. They are very inquisitive and don't think twice about trying to jump in the tub with you or squeeze through the shower door. They make excellent traveling companions for retired folks or long haul drivers as they love to travel in the car or larger vehicles.

I am taking a deposit to hold her until she is ready to go home after her surgery.

My cattery and adult foundation cats are registered with REFR
(Rare and Exotic Feline Registry)

Yes...Kayli does sleep under the covers but most of all she is an absolute freak when it comes to us and showers! She HAS to be IN the shower with you! My shower has a door...when I close the door she opens it and sits in the back of the shower. If you try and lock her out of the bathroom completely she will bang on the door til you let her in :D

Since her mom and siblings were rescues we don't know the history
but her markings are absolutely striking!

Kayli's New Toy...

Ok...I neatly rolled this poster board up and put it in Brittani's room. I come home and Brittani is cracking up and say's "check out her new toy" She found the poster board and drug it out into the living room and went crazy with it! Sorry the video is dark but it's on my cell phone and didn't have enough lights on...

Are you kidding me...

Ok so I'm in the kitchen cooking and Kayli's busy running in and out...I look down and she's got her nose under the cabinet. I didn't think anything of it...

A few minutes later I look down and all I see is the back end of her body disappearing under the cabinet!!! I quickly open the one cabinet door thinking she's inside...nope! I open the under the sink door...nope! Then I freak out!!

Brittani would probably better describe my reaction next...

All I remember yelling is "SHE'S GONE!!!"

Brittani comes running in...gets on the floor and sees her up in the hole. Since we don't know where this hole leads we were careful not to excite her so Brittani coaxed her out with kitty treats.

I'm tellin you I thought my heart was gonna stop...I'm thinking she's gonna somehow get caught between the walls. From what Britt could see whoever installed the cabinets took a short cut when they butted them together and left a gap then just tried to mask it.

Thankfully curiosity didn't kill this cat!

This has become her favorite play place...
it's where she chases her tail and plays peek-a-boo...
she's even perfected her balance on the rim of the pot :0]

If it wasn't for trippin on her...I wish she could stay this little!

on her way home she stopped by for a lil reunion...

Ok...so you'd think after occupying the same belly...plus living together for the first 6 weeks of life...that there would be a sisterly bond...

This is the result of being separated for only 4 days!

LOL...they walked around looking like Halloween cats with their backs arched and almost on their tippy toes!!

It was HILARIOUS :D

She's so tiny...the length of her body is the length between my pinkie and thumb :]

I took this video not more than 10 minutes of first meeting her...as you can see she's very playful...not to mention very slippery to catch!
